Photo comics made with action figures were a whole craft before digital cameras made them easy. A sequence needed figures that could hold a pose, a stable surface, matched lighting between frames and captions that carried the plot, because the faces could not. Crossover casts were the natural subject: characters from unrelated films could be bought in the same scale and put in the same shot, which is a joke no studio could tell.
The results circulated as numbered parts, and that numbering is why they survive unevenly — a part goes missing and the story breaks. Entries like this one are kept in sequence so the order is at least recoverable. Pictures in the collection circulated by email and on forums, and the original authors are usually unknown.
